Review draft
Domain Registration Agreement
A draft outline for the domain-specific terms that must accompany reseller services.
Working draft · 9 October 2026
Reseller relationship
CometName intends to resell registration services through configured third-party registrars. It is not an independently ICANN-accredited registrar. Identify the relevant registrar and registry policies, applicable agreements and contact channels for each enabled TLD before accepting orders.
Registrant information
Customers must supply complete and accurate registrant information and keep it current. Explain required verification, disclosure and correction steps for each TLD, including how data is shared with suppliers and registries.
Registration, renewal and expiry
Submitting an order does not guarantee registration. Explain supplier confirmation, registration term, renewal authorization, expiry notifications and the applicable registry grace or redemption processes without promising a result the supplier has not confirmed.
Transfers and disputes
Set out transfer eligibility, authorization codes, registry restrictions, transfer timing and cancellation limits. Incorporate the applicable dispute-resolution policies, including the UDRP or relevant country-code policies where they apply.
DNS and security
Define the limits of DNS availability, propagation, backups, DNSSEC, nameserver and domain-lock controls. Clearly identify which operations are supported by the supplier for each TLD and when a change is still pending.
Required schedule
Before launch attach the actual supplier and registry disclosures, TLD-specific requirements, renewal and restoration fees, privacy disclosures, complaint route and legal entity details. Review changes against current registry and ICANN policies where applicable.
